Therapy by secure video, anywhere in Michigan
The same clinicians, the same approaches and the same insurance as our offices — from a private room at home, at work or wherever you are in the state.

Who it suits
When video makes therapy easier
Packed schedules
Fit a session into a lunch break or the end of the workday, with no drive on either side.
Long drives
From Belding, Portland or the far side of the county, a session no longer costs you an afternoon.
Getting out is hard
Health, mobility, transportation or childcare can make an office visit a struggle. Video takes that off the table.
Shift work
First responders, corrections officers and medical staff can meet around rotating schedules.
Privacy
No waiting room and no chance of running into someone you know in the parking lot.
Staying consistent
Keep your sessions going through a busy month, a bad-weather week or time away within Michigan.
How it works
How a telehealth session works
Request an appointment
Use the form or call. Choose Telehealth as your office and tell us what you are looking for.
Get matched
We check your insurance and match you with a clinician whose specialty and schedule fit.
Receive your link
Your clinician sends a link to their secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform before your first session.
Join from a private space
Open the link on a phone, tablet or computer at your appointment time. Your clinician takes it from there.
The same care in a different room
Telehealth is not a lighter version of therapy. You work with the same licensed clinicians and the same approaches — CBT, DBT, trauma-focused care and EMDR, which adapts well to video with the right setup. Many clients mix formats, meeting in the office some weeks and by video others.
Setting up for a good session
- A private room where you will not be overheard — a parked car works in a pinch
- Headphones, for privacy and clearer sound
- A steady internet connection, and your phone nearby as a backup
- A few minutes before you start to settle in
Before you start
Good to know
You need to be in Michigan
Our clinicians are licensed in Michigan, so you need to be physically in the state during each session.
Insurance covers it
Telehealth is billed the same as an office visit. We verify your coverage before your first session.
Self-pay options
HSA, FSA and credit cards are accepted, and a sliding scale is available for those who need it. Ask when you reach out.
Children and teens
Teens can be seen by video. Younger children are seen in person at our Jenison Pediatric Center, where play-based work happens best.
Times vary by clinician
Each clinician sets their own availability, including some evenings. We will find a time that works when we match you.
In a crisis?
Telehealth is not for emergencies. Call or text 988, any time, or call 911.

Clinicians who offer telehealth
All of our clinicians see clients by video. Those who work only by telehealth are listed first.

Common questions
Telehealth questions
Something not covered? Call or send a request and we will answer it.
Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
For most people, yes. Research shows telehealth CBT performs comparably to in-person care, and many clients mix formats week to week.
Can I do trauma work over telehealth?
Yes, including EMDR, which adapts well to video with the right setup. Some clients prefer to do processing sessions in person and check-ins virtually.
Do I need special software?
No special equipment. Your clinician sends a link to their secure video platform, which you open on a phone, tablet or computer with a camera.
Can I switch between video and in-person sessions?
Yes. Many clients meet in the office some weeks and by video others. Your clinician's office locations are listed on their profile.
Can I have a session if I am travelling outside Michigan?
Our clinicians are licensed in Michigan, so you need to be physically in the state during each session. If you will be away, talk with your clinician about scheduling around it.
Does insurance cover telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth is covered the same as an in-person visit, and we verify your coverage before your first session.
Prefer to meet in person?
