Common questions

Pediatric Center FAQ

Something not covered? Call the office — a real person answers Monday through Friday.

How young can my child be seen here?

We see children from about age four. For younger children the work is play-based, which is how they process and communicate at that stage.

Should I stay in the session?

Caregivers are part of the first visit, and after that it depends on your child’s age and goals. Either way you get regular check-ins and strategies to use at home.

Do you coordinate with schools?

With your written consent, yes — teachers, counselors, and IEP or 504 teams. We can provide documentation where it helps.

Why is this a separate building from the main office?

Because a waiting room built for adults is the wrong first impression for a seven-year-old. This space, the rooms, and the staff are set up specifically for children and teens.

Can teens be seen at the main office instead?

Yes. Teens 13 and up can be seen here or at our 20th Ave office, whichever fits your schedule and their comfort.

Are you taking new clients?

Yes. With multiple pediatric therapists on the team we are able to offer timely appointments and after-school scheduling.
