Using your insurance for therapy
We accept most major plans, including Michigan Medicaid, and check your benefits before your first session — so you know what you will pay before you commit to anything.

Therapy with Michigan Medicaid
We accept Michigan Medicaid, including through Medicaid health plans such as Meridian, Molina and Blue Cross Complete. Medicaid covers therapy at all of our offices and by telehealth. Tell us your plan when you reach out and we will match you with a clinician who sees Medicaid clients.

Before your first session
How we check your coverage
Tell us your plan
Choose it on the request form or mention it when you call. Not sure which plan you have? That is fine — your insurance card is enough.
We verify your benefits
We check your coverage for outpatient mental health care, including any copay, deductible or referral requirement.
You hear your cost first
We tell you what you can expect to pay before your first session, so there are no surprises.
Paying without insurance
You can pay for sessions yourself by HSA, FSA or credit card, and a sliding scale is available for those who need it. Ask about it when you reach out — each clinician sets their own rates.
- HSA and FSA cards accepted
- Credit and debit cards accepted
- Sliding scale available for those who need it
- A Good Faith Estimate of your costs before you begin
- A superbill on request, if you want to send your claim to your insurer yourself

If cost is getting in the way
Please do not let cost be the reason you put off care. Call us and ask about the sliding scale — we would rather find a way than have you go without. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 any time; it is free and confidential.
Common questions
Insurance and payment questions
Something not covered? Call or send a request and we will check for you.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. We accept Michigan Medicaid, including through Medicaid health plans such as Meridian, Molina and Blue Cross Complete. A few of our clinicians do not see Medicaid clients, so we will match you with one who does.
What will I pay for a session?
It depends on your plan — your copay, coinsurance and whether you have met your deductible. We check your benefits before your first session and tell you what to expect.
Do I need a referral?
Usually not. If your plan requires a referral for behavioral health, we will tell you during the insurance check and help you get one.
Is telehealth covered?
Yes. Telehealth sessions are covered the same as in-person visits.
My plan is not listed. Can I still be seen?
If we do not accept your plan, we are not able to bill it, but you are welcome to pay for sessions yourself by HSA, FSA or card, and a sliding scale is available. If you ask, we can give you a superbill — an itemized receipt you can send to your insurance company yourself. Call us if you are unsure whether your plan is one we accept.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for self-pay sessions, as are credit and debit cards.
