Nicole Betterly
LMSW
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, shaped by both professional training and personal experience growing up in a family impacted by pervasive substance use, mental health challenges, and trauma. These experiences guide my commitment to walk alongside clients with compassion and authenticity.
I specialize in supporting children ages 3+, teens, and young adults. I have extensive experience in helping clients navigate ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, addiction, family systems challenges, and stress. My clinical training includes EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, play therapy, and DBT-informed care. I also integrate somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help clients regulate their nervous system and build resilience.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of self-compassion. So many of us carry shame, blame, and self-criticism—often rooted in experiences beyond our control. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inherent worth, meet yourself with kindness through all of life’s trials, and discover that healing is not only possible—but something you deeply deserve. Presently, I am on orders with the Air National Guard but I look forward to taking on clients when I return!
