Nicole Betterly
LMSW, CAADC, RYT-200
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, shaped by both professional training and personal experience growing up in a family impacted by substance use, mental health challenges, and trauma. These experiences guide my commitment to walk alongside clients with compassion and authenticity.
I specialize in working with children (ages 3+), teens, and young adults. I have extensive experience supporting clients navigating ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, problematic sexual behaviors, addiction, family system challenges, foster care and adoption-related experiences, and stress. My clinical training includes EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, play therapy, and DBT-informed care. I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based practices to support nervous system regulation and resilience.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of self-compassion. Many people carry shame, blame, and self-criticism rooted in experiences beyond their control. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inherent worth, meet yourself with kindness, and discover that healing is not only possible—but something you truly deserve.
