Desiree Thompson, from North Coast Wellness is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience, including several years in mental health.

She has a wealth of expertise in psychiatric nursing, case management, and nursing leadership. She earned her PMHNP degree from Wilkes University and is board-certified by the ANCC. Although North Coast Wellness is a solo Nurse Practitioner practice, we do collaborate with a psychiatrist as required by the State of Michigan, and are excited to be partnering with Hope & Healing Counseling.

Desiree has experience in managing a diverse range of disorders, substance use disorders are of significant importance to her, as they have personally impacted her family. Desiree’s lived experiences have instilled in her a profound empathy for individuals and families grappling with substance use disorders.
