I'm happy you took the first step to look into my profile.
I am a fully-licensed clinical social worker who believes that a solid therapeutic relationship can provide the safe space to address the challenges in your life. From life transitions to processing traumatic experiences, it is my goal as a therapist to give you the tools, insight, and safe place so that you can confront the challenges and make the changes you want to see in your life.
With nearly five years of experience as a school-based therapist at a middle school, I specialize in working with adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, and life transitions. I have experience working with a variety of diverse cultural backgrounds and prioritize honoring a client’s personal experiences and the impact of the systems in their lives.
To serve clients’ unique strengths, perspectives, and needs, I pull from a variety of evidence-based modalities in my therapeutic approach. I draw from CBT, mindfulness, somatic, and solution-focused work to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed services to my clients. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR to better address symptoms of trauma and other deeply-rooted challenges.
About me: In my free time, I love reading, movies with friends, and theater! I enjoy kickboxing and running as ways to manage stress. I love to travel to new places and experience different cultures! I’ve always loved learning and feel passionate about using new research in mental health that I can bring to my sessions.
Fun fact: I started learning Spanish 4 years ago and I’ve done Duolingo lessons every single day since I started!
As an expert in your own lived experiences, you set the pace of your therapeutic journey, and I feel privileged to walk alongside you in that journey!
